Fiberglass (GRP)

Fiberglass = “GRP” (Glass Reinforced Plastic) & “FRP” (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), where the “Plastic” is most often Polyester Resin, which is relatively inexpensive and quite user friendly, but there are many other options for the Plastic. The “Fiber’ is usually glass strands, hence “Fiberglass”, but many other fiberous materials can be used. The result is generally very strong, relatively light-weight and able to make complex forms with ready repetition a key feature.
